ART DOCENT
Every class at Stoneridge gets a volunteer Art Docent who works throughout the year with the students to create and learn about different types of Art. PTC funds all of the supplies needed to run this program. And we know how proud each student is when they get to bring their art portfolio home at the end of the school year with all of the masterpieces! SCIENCE DOCENT
Stoneridge has two volunteer science docents who conduct Science Labs with each class throughout the school year. Our goal this year is to offer 2 science labs per class. Students get to do everything from dissecting owl pellets in fifth grade to learning about force and motion in second grade. For more information, reach out to stoneridgeptc1@gmail.com.
TEACHER APPRECIATION AND SUPPORT
PTC provides an annual allotment per teacher to purchase additional items for their students. Things like extra crafts, or classroom decor, or books are covered through these funds. We also do a lot of extra special things to show our appreciation for our staff with luncheons, surprise treats, and of course, Teacher Appreciation Week in May.
COMMUNITY BUILDING
Our goal is to create a true community here at Stoneridge. We organize a ton of fun events for our students and their families to get to connect with each other. From Ice Cream Social to Carnival to Skate Nights, we want to build a strong community for our kids! In addition, we’re behind the scenes putting up banners, posters, and other school spirit items, even the Take Home Folders are provided by PTC.
SPIRIT WEAR
PTC manages all of the Spirit Wear and other items for sale through our Stoneridge Shop as well as on campus sales. Get your T-Shirt or Yard Sign to be Stoneridge Proud!
ASSEMBLIES
Kids love assemblies and so do we! Just about every month, Principal Spears holds an assembly to build school spirit and recognize our PACK winners. PTC helps bring in various speakers and activities to these assemblies.
CAMPUS IMPROVEMENT
We work with Principal Spears on campus improvement such as PA speakers, a new Digital Board, water hydrations stations, garden projects, playground balls, etc. so that our kids have a great environment surrounding them for learning.
